I love the way their invoicing system is set up. I can’t believe the number of negative reviews here. Create beautiful, free invoices that reflect your business branding. Perfect app for the occasional freelancer
Not even mentioning that many business owners travel and need access from abroad, and there are plenty of foreigners who own businesses in the US. I can’t find contact information to raise this issue and frankly after reading other reviews I won’t bother. This app is what my company was looking for to complement Quickbooks. I’ve been using Wave for about two years and have had no issues.

Wave’s free accounting software can be a great option if you run a very small service-based business or don’t need more advanced features that alternatives might offer. For small businesses any larger than that, however, Wave is extremely limited. Unlike competitors, Wave doesn’t offer multiple plans to increase the software’s functionality. It’s also missing an audit trail and third-party integrations. For example, QuickBooks Online doesn’t have a free plan, but offers four paid plans, each with additional features, making it a great choice for scalability.
It allows you to manage bookkeeping, accounting and invoicing in one place through internal integrations. They take the money away from you and the entire thing has been one embarrassing ridiculous mess. God knows where my personal information is going to end up.

I tried to contact Wave again, but still couldn’t get a satisfactory answer, just “wait for Plaid to fix it”.Now it has been about six weeks, with no data imported. I am having to start from scratch to find another accounting program, and then make the commitment to learn how to use it. I want to run my business, not spend all my time wondering why the accounting program won’t work.

With the higher-tier QuickBooks plans, you have access to time tracking, inventory management and employee expenses management, none of which are offered with Wave. Once logged in, your main dashboard will show your cash flow, profit and loss, invoices, bills and other financial insights. From the dashboard (or the Banking menu on the left-hand side), you’ll be able to connect your bank and credit card accounts to automatically download and categorize your transactions. This app is the worse, I set up my account, prepare and send an invoice expecting an AH payment that I configured on the Wave App. 6 days after my account has been canceled for receiving AH payments and the payment made by my client of $3,000 nobody knows where it is. This might be scam, one week and my money does not show up on my bank account.

DO NOT consider switching to Wave if you have any credit cards from American Express. For the last year, Wave has failed to maintain a connection with AMEX, which means that I have to download statements from AMEX to upload to Wave and then spend hours classifying every single transaction. And here’s the best part – I pay Wave to do their job! Several bugs they refuse to fix and very poor communication.
