Loved watching Marriage not Dating recently and was wondering if there are any K-Dramas that are similar to this. If KT can learn from her how to let loose, and she could learn to protect her heart more, they would be a perfect team. I wondered about that for a long time, and finally found out that, no it is not. In fact it some of the cleanest of any country.
Han Groo
He asks where she is and she yells at him for playing with people. He screams back that she’s still the same; making messes everywhere she goes. He tells her to stay put since he’s on his way. As grandma and aunt eat, grandma says that she thinks Gi Tae still hasn’t forgotten Jang Mi yet.
They are so absurd and there are so many classic timing cliches but you love to see it happen. I also honestly love the main leads’ and second leads’… Interactions together/friendships so much that it doesn’t feel like a major setback. It’s a testament to Han Groo’s acting skills that Jang Mi never comes across as pathetic or bumbling. I think it helps that Jang Mi follows her moral compass into embarrassing situations, eyes wide open at the potential fallout.
Kanakana ( Season 1 – Episode 27
Especially loved her relationship with ML’s mother. Started watching a day or two ago, have to restrain myself not to watch al the episode’s in one go… I cant stop laughing at the piggyback scene.
So when I saw this, I thought wow this will take my fancy! And I was right, but not entirely for those reasons I had thought in the beginning. I admit that this drama kinda bored me halfway through it and I actually stopped watching. I love Sunhwa and Jinwoon but omg their characters are so annoying.
Andy attempts a risky move to save the boy but sidelines a prepared Maya in doing so, resulting in a fight between the two, as well as a reprimand for Andy by Sullivan. After having joined the firefighters at the rescue scene with Dr. Andrew DeLuca, Maggie turns Dean down, but he lets her know that his offer still stands, should she ever be without a boyfriend. Travis visits the station and is drawn into the action of the rescue. Ben is put on desk duty for not sticking to protocol and Pruitt is offended when Sullivan suggests he retire. And even with my diagnosis, I absolutely considered stopping, because I didn’t know if that was a side of me that I wanted to portray.
I am curious to find out who the mystery investor is though. Mom goes to Gi Tae’s apartment and sees him sadly sitting in his messy apartment. She calls him a pathetic fool and asks if this https://datingstream.org/ is how he wanted to live after turning the family upside-down. Mom tells him that he fell into his own trap and he agrees. Mom tells him to forget about Jang Mi since he’s been fooled.
This show has helped me end my drama drought! Also, does anyone know what the ratings are for this show? I hope the domestic audience is enjoying the drama as much as I am. Add to that attraction and just generally enjoying her company, it’s easy to see why he might fall for her.
I am so glad that you are recapping this series. I adore how the writers are not revealing TOO much too soon. It is actually tantalizing to get to know them slowly…how they think and how they respond to situations. Aunt Mi-jung tells Mom that she overheard Jang-mi say she was meeting someone at the restaurant, and Mom calls Hoon-dong’s mother to ask if he’s dating anyone.
I do like that the writer was clearly experimenting and pushing the boundaries of that device; the results just weren’t always in my wheelhouse. At least the finale went out on the kind of cold open I had loved early on. Soaked and deserted by family and friends, Ki-tae and Jang-mi just look at each other and begin to laugh. Jang-mi giggles at how “them” the wedding is, and Ki-tae agrees. They exchange wedding rings in the pouring rain, as Jang-mi thinks how marriage involves not just them, but both of their families.
Jang Mi’s confused but mom asks if it’s all because of money. Jang Mi is dumbstruck and thinks back to all those times people asked her if it was because of money. She realizes now that when she’s when Gi Tae, that’s what people see her as.
I even appreciate that it took them forever to acknowledge their feelings despite gitae actually falling for jangmi in like ep4. Its a very mature thing to portray that a relationship takes so long to happen. I totally love how messy, loud and chaotic the wedding scene was. It ended the way it started- everyone being a drama queen.
And the moment she told or say convinced Se Ah that something wrong with GGT head, her expression..priceless. Having summed her up accurately, he has been counting on her to embarrass herself for him. He understands that she can’t stop caring, that she cannot hide her true feelings.
